About

Nobody can sell you a glow stick that is both the brightest and the longest.

Custom Glow Sticks makes chemical glow to order — high-intensity sticks, long-duration markers, bracelets and necklaces, sleeve-printed branded sticks, standard-colour safety sticks, and dated bulk tubes and retail packs.

Custom printed glow sticks with logo

A glow stick holds a fixed amount of chemical energy. The concentration decides how fast that energy is released, and that is the entire product. Turn it up and you get a stick that is spectacular for half an hour. Turn it down and you get one that is findable at three in the morning and unremarkable at any point.

They are two different products rather than a better and a worse version of one, and almost every disappointment in this category comes from buying one and expecting the other.

So the first question we ask is what the moment actually is. A drop at a set. A gate handout at seven for a show that ends at eleven. A guy line that has to be visible all night. Three completely different sticks.

Why we exist

Duration claims in this category are technically true and practically misleading. A twelve-hour stick is still emitting measurable light at twelve hours; it stopped looking like a glow stick some hours earlier. The curve falls steeply and then runs long and dim, and nobody puts the curve on a listing.

There is a second thing nobody mentions: temperature runs the reaction. Warm makes it brighter and shorter, cold makes it dimmer and longer. A pallet that sat in the sun behind a marquee has already spent part of its life before anybody snaps it, and a cool box on the day genuinely extends what you handed out.

And a third: they age in the packet. Foil-wrapped and cool they hold for years; in a hot store room they are noticeably down within one.

What we actually make

High-intensity sticks for crowd moments and photographs. Long-duration markers for marshalling, camps and overnight work, sold with the brightness curve described rather than implied. Bracelets and necklaces with connectors specified to actually hold. Branded sticks with the artwork on a printed sleeve or as open line art. Safety sticks in standard signalling colours with the manufacture date on the outer. And bulk tubes or hang-ready retail packs, counted to how they will be handed out or sold.

All of it is chemical. There is no battery in anything we make.

What we do not make

LED party wands, battery light-up sticks and torches. Those are electronics, and there are people who do nothing else.

And we will not describe a glow stick as a light source. It marks a position. If somebody has to read, work or walk safely by it, they need a torch.

Three things we tell people that cost us money

Do not buy three years’ supply for the price break. They degrade in storage, so the third year arrives dim and somebody assumes it is a quality problem. Buy the year you will use.

Green is the brightest colour by a clear margin, and it very often is not your brand colour. Every other shade is made by adding a dye that shifts the light, and every shift costs output. If raw brightness is the requirement, we will say so.

A solid printed logo on the tube blocks the light it is meant to be read by. Sleeve print or open line art, every time — and ask to see the mockup lit, because an unlit one tells you nothing at all.

How we price

No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with the size, the formulation, the printing and the quantity. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one — and we will ask how old that cheaper stock is.

On safety, honestly

Handled normally these are fine, and we would rather give you the detail than wave it away. The fluid is an irritant rather than a poison. There is a thin glass ampoule inside that is designed to be broken. An over-flexed tube can split.

They are not suitable for very young children, and we will ask who the audience is before we quote. That question changes what we recommend, not just the paperwork.
