FAQ

Custom glow sticks questions, answered.

Everything buyers ask before they order — minimums, timings, artwork and print options.

What is the minimum order?

Our minimum order is just 12 — a small school event is a normal order — with volume tiers for festivals, retail and distribution.

How fast will my glow sticks arrive?

Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and finished stock ships in about 2 weeks, with express turnaround available when an event date is fixed.

Can I have bright and long-lasting?

No, and it is the most useful thing to understand about this product. A glow stick holds a fixed amount of chemical energy and the concentration decides how fast it is released. Brighter is always shorter. They are two different products rather than better and worse versions of one.

Does a 12-hour glow stick glow for 12 hours?

It is still emitting measurable light at twelve hours, which is what the rating means. It is not still bright — the curve falls steeply in the first hour and then runs long and dim. Perfect for finding a marker in the dark, useless for anything anybody has to look at.

Why did our glow sticks seem dull at the event?

Usually heat or age. The reaction is chemical, so a box that sat in the sun behind a marquee has already spent some of its life, and stock that has been in a hot store room for two years is down before it is snapped. Keep them cool, and a cool box on the day genuinely extends them.

Why does our printed logo look like a dark patch?

It was printed as a solid fill directly onto the tube, so the ink blocks the light it is meant to be read by. A printed sleeve, or open line art rather than a solid fill, lets the glow through and around the mark. Always ask to see a mockup lit rather than unlit.

Are they safe?

Handled normally, yes, and we will still tell you the details rather than wave it away. The fluid is an irritant rather than a poison, there is a thin glass ampoule inside that is meant to be broken, and an over-flexed tube can split. They are not suitable for very young children, and we will ask about the audience before quoting.

Do you make LED glow sticks?

No. Battery light-up wands, LED party sticks and torches are electronics, not chemistry, and there are suppliers who do nothing else. Everything we make is a chemical glow stick with no battery in it.
